ASA’s mission is to ensure that low-income student athletes have to opportunity to play in organized sports while being successful in the classroom environment.  ASA feels that by student athletes being involved in organized sports they will be less likely to get into trouble and more likely to succeed as a student and as an individual.  This will be accomplished by the various skills they learn by being involved organized sports such as team work, responsibility, and individuality. 

Advocates for Student Athletes’ vision is to see student athletes succeed both on the field and in the classroom.  ASA envisions student athletes having fun participating in organized sports while learning various useful skills like team building and leadership skills yet excelling academically.  ASA envisions student athletes pursuing college degrees as a result of ASA’s investment in the student athlete.
